COOKING NIGHT FOR THE LADIES OF THE SALVATION ARMY

Like every other month, it was yet again time for our monthly Cooking Night for the lovely ladies of the Salvation Army. Two staff members of The Bulldog teamed up to volunteer and cook a delicous 3 course meal for the ladies. They served 40 to 50 women. This night is always a great opportunity to connect with the local community.

A TRADITIONAL DUTCH EVENING

This month’s menu was a delicous vegetable soup as a starter, followed by ‘Andijvie Stampot’ as a main course. This is a traditional Dutch dish made from a combination of potatoes mashed with the vegetable ‘Endive’ and served with a smoked sausage and apple sauce.
The dish is finished with a delicous gravy on top.
The dinner ended with a traditional dutch Cake, served with whipped cream together with a cup of coffee and/or tea. It was truly a Dutch evening. The dishes were loved by the clients.

A CULINARY COLLABORATION

The evening was another resounding success. The Bulldog is immensely proud of our strong bond with the Salvation Army and the opportunity to contribute to their monthly cooking nights. It’s always a heartwarming experience to meet new compassionate individuals and to give back to our community. We look forward to the upcoming cooking nights.
