A NIGHT OF COOKING, CARING & COMMUNITY
Last week, it was once again time for our monthly cooking night at the Salvation Army! As we do every month, two volunteers from our team dedicated an evening to pampering 40 women from the Salvation Army with a delicious and well-prepared meal.
This initiative is organized by the Salvation Army, and The Bulldog contributes by sponsoring the groceries and preparing a freshly cooked three-course dinner. This month, two ladies from our hotel took on the task of providing a delightful meal for the group.
A FEAST TO REMEMBER
The menu for the evening featured a carefully curated selection of dishes. As a starter, the women enjoyed a creamy dip made from fresh herbs and Greek yogurt, served with fresh baguettes and vegetable sticks.
For the main course, we once again served a rich and hearty Dutch stamppot, a traditional winter favorite. This time, the dish consisted of mashed potatoes with pointed cabbage, celeriac, and parsley—perfect for warming up on a cold evening.
To finish off the meal on a sweet note, the dessert was a crowd favorite: homemade brownies topped with whipped cream.
NIGHT TO REMEMBER
The evening was once again a great success. The dishes were well received, and the atmosphere was filled with joy and warmth. It was a pleasure to contribute to this wonderful initiative, and we are already looking forward to next month’s cooking night!
