A Day of Pampering
On Thursday April 3rd, it was time once again for the annual Women’s Pampering Day — a special event that takes place during the Salvation Army’s holiday week for female clients. And this year, The Bulldog was proud to join in once more!
A WELL DESERVED GETAWAY
Each year, the Salvation Army treats a group of women to a much-needed vacation in a beautiful hotel surrounded by the forests of Lunteren. For many of these women, this is the only time they get to go on holiday. It’s a week full of care, rest, and special attention — and one of the highlights of the week is a full day dedicated to beauty and self-care.
We were honored to once again sponsor this special beauty day and send a team of volunteers to help make it unforgettable. Five women from our headquarters and hotel joined forces, leaving bright and early to head to Lunteren — ready to give these ladies the pampering they so deserve.
WARM WELCOME AND STRAIGHT TO WORK
WARM WELCOME AND STRAIGHT TO WORK
After about an hour’s drive, we were warmly welcomed with a cup of coffee and quickly got to work. Our mission for the day? To help the women feel fabulous ahead of their themed party night later that evening!
We offered manicures (including gel polish for those who wanted it), styled hair — from smooth and sleek to beautiful curls — and created lovely makeup looks to make them shine.
SMILES, GRATITUDE AND LASTING MEMORIES
The atmosphere throughout the day was nothing short of heartwarming. Happy faces, laughter, and heartfelt thank-yous filled the room. It was incredibly fulfilling to be part of something so meaningful and to witness how much joy and confidence a little care and attention can bring.
At the end of the day, we were warmly waved off and showered with gratitude. With full hearts and big smiles, we made our way back home, grateful for all the beautiful moments we shared.
What a wonderful day! We’re thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this initiative. Huge thanks to the Salvation Army for the flawless organization and for letting us be part of something so impactful.
Until next time!
